Please Tell Me I Don't Have… It

By it, I mean the dreaded writer's block. I have finally been able to write these past couple of days, but I haven't been able to come up with complete plots. Small scenes come to me, but I just can't seem to make stories out of them. I don't know what has come over me, but I need it to go away right now. There a lot of things that I wanted to write before this… whatever this is came, and suddenly, they've disappeared. I really can't believe this. When I had a lot of inspiration, I couldn't write, but now that I can write, all that inspiration has gone with the wind.

I keep rewriting old things. These are meant to just be those little things that give my writing a little push, but they've completely taken over. I keep rewriting, rewriting, and rewriting some more. It's not even fun anymore… There are only that many pieces of writing that I can take, completely tear apart, then reconstruct all over again. I want to start writing new pieces so much, but I can't do that without any inspiration.

What do you call this? Is it the block, or is this just a little rut in the road? Maybe I should start reading Picoult again… that worked last time. Or perhaps I should get into the classics. Russian, maybe? Any suggestions?
