Shanghai 2010 | Part 1

Oct 12, 2010

Okay, it's been almost 2 weeks already, and it's time to tell you what I've been up to! If you haven't already figured it out via @, that is. I went to Shanghai on the 3rd, and I just got back a couple of days ago. Right now, I've got a stuffed nose and I'm plain exhausted, but it seems just as good a time as any to do a little recap.

Day 1: This was mostly just driving to Hangzhou, but we went to the West Lake for an hour or so at night. It was really foggy, though, so we didn't see much.
Day 2: The whole day was at West Lake, and we went to a few gorgeous islands. It wasn't warm at all, which was really great.

That's the view from a boat deck… Can't say I'm a huge fan of boats, but this round was pretty awesome lol.
Day 3: We were supposed to go back to Shanghai this day, but we spent the whole day in Wuzhen (some call it a watertown, some say it's the Venice of China) before we drove there. They had dang brick roads which I did not like one bit, but it really was like an old town. It was built by the river… The ride back by boat, however, was a whole different experience altogether. It was really nice just floating along, and looking at the little buildings we went past.

I'll finish part 2 tomorrow, maybe, and have some more pictures and stuff.
