Almost Down To 999 Requests

Mar 6, 2011 in

My previous 1,200+ read requests began piling up some months ago on WritersCafe when I didn't visit for a while. For those of you who don't know, WritersCafe is a wonderful website where writers can share their work and review others as well as get reviewed. Read requests are sent by friends asking you to read their (or someone else's) work. I didn't turn off that feature because I didn't purposely stop going there.

Anyway, I've been pretty active there for a while now, but I hadn't gotten round to sorting out all those requests… The number was rather scary, but I finally got down to it a few days ago, and I'm almost down to less than a thousand! Right now I'm thinking whether or not I should switch on my read requests again for a day or two… I want some newer things to read, but I also really want to sort out all the read requests I already have.

The biggest problem here, though, is that most of my requests are coming from the same people. Don't get me wrong though; they're pretty awesome writers, but I'd like to review other people's work, too.

Okay, I'm done ranting (if you can call this post that) now, haha. If you'd like to visit me on WritersCafe, click here to go to my profile with my fabulous ™ sign in tow. It's a pretty darn awesome website! If you like writing or reading, you should consider joining. The people there are really talented are a friendly bunch.

EDIT: As of 4:27pm, I've finally gotten down to 999 read requests by reading/reviewing this piece of genius. :D
