Roti Canai For Breakfast, And Some Rambling

Jun 4, 2011 in , ,

Since today is a public holiday (happy birthday to the Agong), I don't have class, we went out for breakfast today, and I had roti canai. Eating roti canai for breakfast is such a rare occasion for me that I feel compelled to make it part of the title of this post. I usually have fruits, which are pretty yummy and healthy.

Last night, I finally finished Pride And Prejudice! A friend gave it to me a few years ago, and I first started reading it in early 2009… I didn't get to finish it because we went to California when I was in the middle, and yeah… It requires quite a bit of concentration, and this time I read it nice and slowly. I was speed-reading the first time, which is probably why I didn't get it then. This time, however, I loved reading it. As a note, if you're looking for the romance between Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth, you're going to have to wait for quite a while, since it doesn't appear until around the second half…

I had a really interesting dream last night. Actually, there were two dreams, but the latter is too strange to relate to the world. I'm not quite sure if I know how to explain it anyway. The first was that I was in New York City… Everything was wonderful - just how I imagine it to be. I vaguely remember being about to cry of happiness, but unfortunately, the dream stopped there, before I could explore the city.

As for the second dream, well, I think I'll have a go at trying to explain it. I was probably in a place a century or so ago (the result of reading and finishing Pride And Prejudice, I believe, since it was in a similar setting), and was a fugitive. I found out that some people (the owner of the estate's children?) were doing something wrong, so I wanted to tell the man who owned the place. There was a servant there who knew it too, so we were working together. We had to hide because the bad people were near where we were talking, then we tried to move to the house to warn the man via a carriage. As we moved past the people, I thought, "I hope they don't notice that something is off since this carriage isn't being pulled by horses." That was the extent of that dream. It doesn't make much sense, does it?

Oh, I also made a really cool wallpaper yesterday! It's vintage and classic (I think), and features the word "inspire" in the middle. It's pretty simple, but that was the point. I might release it for download in a few days. We'll see.

I'm slightly hyper now for some reason.
