Redesign: Three Point Oh!

Jul 29, 2012 in , ,

Around this time every year, I start to itch for a new look for my blog – my online home. This year, I wanted something different; to break out from the two-column layout that I’d gotten comfortable with. So I scoured the net for inspiration, sat down with a folder of screencaps, and got to work. This is the result: a 3-column template, and a different color scheme (though yes, I still had to have my kick of pink). The reason behind the name "Three Point Oh!" is simply because it's the third redesign I've done, and the exclamation mark kind of fell into place with the design.

I incorporated some things I learned recently, such as border-radius, transformations, and what-have-you. I hope that you, my readers, will like it. Do let me know what you think of it in the comments, or tweet me @keepmenear. I've changed my commenting platform over to Disqus, mainly because I like the additional features that it offers, and it would be great if you could let me know how that works for you.

The fonts I'm using are Dancing Script by Pablo Impallari, Junction from The League of Moveable Type, and PT Serif from Google Web Fonts.

There are some kinks right now (I need to transfer my old comments over, for one), so please be patient as I fix them.

Before I sign off, I would like to thank my awesome friends who took a sneak peak into my design before I put it up: Kah Yee, Sivesh, and Kezia, who told me to use a "hotter pink."
