2013 Begins Now

Jan 1, 2013 in , , ,

Hello again! Hmm, it looks like the last time I made a post was a year ago! (And so begins all of my jokes for the next week - "I haven't seen you since last year!" "Hazel hasn't had a bath since last year." "I haven't been out of the house all year.") Well, whether it's really been a year or just 24 hours, it's nice to be back on my blog.

I spent last night at home with my parents and four-legged baby, watching performances on TV, and waiting for the big countdown. I was hoping to go somewhere to watch the fireworks, but we ended up staying at home. It was just as well though, since we managed to watch some from right outside our window.

So far in 2013, I have bought the domain openquotedesigns.com and forwarded it to my Etsy shop, and I'm excited about it! I know that it's good to have your own domain, so I'm happy that I have one for my shop now. Hopefully, this means that Openquote Designs will grow bigger!

As we enter 2013, let us appreciate the year that just flew past, and learn from it, taking with us into 2013 the lessons learned. We are now one day into the new year, and have 365 days ahead of us - 365 days in which we can work towards our goals and our dreams. So, let's seize the day, and march on forward into 2013.

I would like to take this opportunity to announce that I will be taking my A-Levels this year, so I'll be going to college. I'm pretty excited to start, but I'm also a bit nervous. Classes start next week, so we'll see what happens then.

Here are my resolutions for 2013:

  1. Study harder
  2. Do well in my tests
  3. Learn interesting things
  4. Take the SATs
  5. Stay healthy
  6. Get 50 sales in Openquote Designs
  7. Have 150 listings up in my shop
  8. Improve my color-palette skills
  9. Keep my blog active
  10. Keep Cravings For Food fully stocked with yummy goodies
  11. Work on at least one issue of Niexter
  12. Meet new, interesting people
